Moonsoons bring dramatic change in rainfall, creating two seasons: A rainy season and dry season. The climate and seasons are good condition for farming.
The population is about 15 000 000 people, eighty percents of the population are farmers. The farmers don't have very big farmland, the average size of their farmland is just about two hectares. They don't have modern equipment or modern technique for farming, they still use traditional way for doing this job. When rainy season start, they take plow, rake, and hoe on their ox-cart to go to the field and start preparing the land for growing crops. They grow corn, potato, bean, sesame etc., the main crops is rice.
For growing rice, first time they plow and rake the soil on their seedling paddy two or three time. After that they put the well-kept rice seed into the sacks and tie the sack tightly and sink the sacks in the water to wet it and let it grow in the water for two nights. They take those seed-sacks back, and they plow and rake to smooth the seedling paddy again, then they take the seed in the sack to throw into the seedling paddy. After throwing the seed, they need take care the seedling in the fields by keeping humidity for the soil and fertilizer for the seedling to grow well, and they plow the rest of their paddy fields to clear out the grass. They take care it up to five weeks and then they gather their neighbor by taking turn to pluck the seedling from paddy, plow and rake all the paddy fields and transplant in all the paddy fields until finishing it.

At last, they take care it the same as previous way until it is ripe. When it is ripe, the landlord gather their neighbor the same way to harvest the rice from the paddy fields to keep it in the barn for family feeding and for selling.
