Tour Review (Duration 2 Days)
This itinerary was arranged for travelers to experience the different
sight between temples and real local life in two different region, high land
and lowland at the lake. The temples were selected the most interesting and
different in styles and color. At lowland region, along the river to the lake
you will see beautiful view of farmland of rice, corn and mungbean and mangrove
and large stilted homes and floating houses community where you will see local fishermen live their lives along the river and on the lake.

Day 1: Small circuit of exclusive temples where you will discover below temples and
sites:
A.
South Gate of Angkor Thom
Angkor
Thom mean "The Big Capital City" and South Gate is the main gate to
go in to the capital city which you can see tug of war statues between 54 gods
and 54 demons and gigantic faces look at the four direction at the top tower of
the gate.
B.
Bayon Temple
Bayon
is the central temple of Angkor Thom. At Bayon we will see long bas-relief of Khmer
soldiers’ procession and naval battle with Champa on the Tonle Sap Lake. And
then go to the top level to feel pure mind of the King Jayavarman VII on
gigantic smiling and charming faces.
C.
Baphuon Temple and nearby temple & terraces
Mountain
temple dedicate to Shiva and state temple of King Udayadityavarman II. The
temple was just reopen in 2011 after a tough and long restoration. And then
visit nearby temples and terrace including Royal Palace area and Phimeanakas
temple, Elephant terrace and terrace of Leper King.

Ta Prohm Temple
Ta Prohm Temple (Tomb Raider temple), root entwined temple. Anaconda like roots entwined through roofs and walls of the temple.

E. Lunch break in local restaurant at Srah Srang area.
F. Angkor Wat Temple
After
lunch go on to the world largest religious building, Angkor Wat. It was
inscribed in world heritage list by UNESCO in 1992 for Outstanding Universal
Value. Not just Outstanding Universal Value, Angkor Wat was the heaven on earth
of King Suriyavarman II and Hindu believers in 12th century.
Day 2: Banteay Srei Temple and Stilted & Floating community
A.
Banteay Srei Temple
After
roadside sightseeing for 35 kilometers we will get to Banteay Srei Temple, the
best quality pink sandstone and the top delicate carving temple of the kingdom.
B.
Kompong Khleang or Kompong Phluk (Seasonal)
It
is a strange world of stilted homes and floating houses along the ancient river
to Tonle Sap Lake. You will see beautiful view of farmland of rice, corn and
mungbean and mangrove along the road to the community and along the river to
the lake. In the community and on the lake you will see local fishermen live
their lives.
